 | Great new album from Brian Houston Posted on 11th Jun 2009 Really delighted to play a couple of tracks here from a fantastic new album by my friend and fellow Hudson Taylor - Brian Houston. Brian is a great songwriter and I always include a couple of his songs in my concerts. This album is a collection of brand new songs. Two of these - "Sweet Jesus" and "All I need" are currently the songs you will hear when you log onto this site. I think "Sweet Jesus" is a beautiful song and I am sure you will feel the same after listening to it. Below is the info from Brian's latest newsletter and details of how you can buy it: Hi friends You see I thought I'd stopped writing those songs in 2003 when I went back to playing bars. You see I'd toured and toured around the US and despite the copious amounts of cash and lavish hotel rooms there was something in that arena that just freaked me out! To be honest I thought I'd never go there again as the release of "Jesus and Justice" seemed to prove to me that I'd reached the bottom of the barrel with songs about overtly spiritual topics. And there I was minding my own business, getting on with life in the middle lane when all of a sudden they sneaked up on me. Soon a trickle became a flood. One after another they came. Especially after that prayer breakfast thingy. Every day another one would pop out and in no time I had a little collection of old timey gospel tunes.
